this watch was given to me by a old man,he said it was one of the first wrist watches a lady's pocket watch converted to take as strap to strap on your wrist does any one know if this is right or not.

    He he was correct . this is a conversion piece. Elgin made their first in 1910, hamilton in 1917, this piece I do not see right off who the MFG. is From what I can see of the movement is was a fairly nice pice. the dail numbers and the hour hand resembles waltham. Thanks for sharing, please post better shot of movement so we can better assist you with this piece.

    i have a similar watch, but it is a west end watch with sucundus or may be sucundur inscribed on it. it is a military watch.
