Hi,

I have an early 1920's Shaeffer green jade white dot pen that measures 4 1/2 inches long. The tail is imprinted with an"F". Do you know what the F stands for? I'm not sure what year this pen was manufactured. The nib looks like a 1924 model. Is this pen a 1924 model? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Best regards,

Bob

i believe the f is for fine print.

    Tail???

It is likely from the 1920s, but to assign a specific year would be impossible as models ran for many years.

F on the nib (writing point) would indicate it is a Fine Point for writing finer lines.

The White Dot on a Shaeffer indicated that it was a Lifetime Guarantee pen and top of the line for the model.

The main problem I can see for value of this pen is the serious fading to the green body.
