This is the real deal. Not a movie prop. Picked this up in a surplus store years ago. At the time it didnt have a liner. I later found a nice equally worn liner that goes with the same wear on the helmet shell. Paint is all original, as are the chin strap and leather chinstrap.....The verticle bar on the back of the helmet was so the enlisted men could easily find their officer in charge durring combat. Unfortunately...so could the enemy, and snipers used them as "BULLS EYES"
