Kralik bambus cir. 1920-38, also known as "flame" decor
Bambus is one of the many decors using a pulled rod technique. The rod is pulled up and down to create a leaf shape and through the top to create a bamboo pole. The silver foil stamp was just recently discovered but strangely belongs to two ordinary pieces. It is unknown if the pieces that contain the pattern with additional decor such as confetti or a tango colored base are also included in this decor family. The rods have a strange amount of color depth and variation because of the way they were made. each rod is actually made with two colors, as the rod is stretched the underlying color is revealed; when folded or compressed the casing color is more prominent.
