There is an original label that says, "ARTEMETALICS S.A. Reg S.E.-DGE 1374, Necho En Mexico. It looks like a marble base. The back of the elephant's foot is elevated as if walking, and there is a piece of leather under that leg. The globe is crackled glass and in good condition. The tusks on the elephant are painted on I'm guessing. There is a very small chip and it is black under the paint. The plug works fine and is old and in good shape. Someone has, however, replaced the light fixture inside the globe and it looks new. This was purchased at a garage sale for $15.00. It is "Very Heavy." My husband and I are interested in any information about this elephant lamp :)
