1994 limited edition Fenton Vase. 850 made. sold for $185 in 1994 when offered. It is hand painted and has a true aurene interior and a Tiffany blue favrile exterior. Fenton combined the two words and call their blue favrene. Created by coaxing the silver in the glass to the surface in the annealer. This is the one and only time that Fenton did a gold aurene. All other examples were either painted on or by use of plastic holder and not glass at all. Fenton is closing in 2011. After over 100 years bye bye to one of the few American manufacturers of any scale.
