More paper items from my collection. These are called Red Barrel magazines and were distributed to employees of The Coca-Cola Company as an in-house publication.
These were first produced in January 1924 and were mailed out every month. In 1951 they went out bi-monthly and then quarterly until the final issue in 1953.
I think I own over 100 issues. These are still fairly common and easy to obtain. The earlier ones and anniversary issues are harder to find as well as more valuable.
These usually consist of 30-40 pages and are filled with interesting articles and photos related to The Coca-Cola Company and its employees. These are also a great reference for dating and identifying advertising materials of the earlier years.
Most of mine are in mint to near mint condition and I also have a few of the original mailing envelopes, which are very rare to find.
Thanks for viewing my collections and feel free to comment, compliment...more to come...lots more!
BTW, my name is Ray...and I'm back from "retirement," so to speak.

Welcome back Ray! Looking forward to many more outstanding posts in the future. Great to have you contributing to CW again, Great News!
The covers are beautiful and have all the color and imagery that Coke is famous for.
Thanks for showing them!
Those are great!! How many times have you thumbed through them? I have a stack of 40's and 50's Posts and Life that I go through often.
Thanks Dave, Perry and Tommy. And yes, every once in a while I go through them and always seem to find another interesting article or photo. I also have a few vintage magazines like Saturday Evening Post, Life, Good Housekeeping...from the 40's and 50's. Interesting just to see the early ads for automobiles, houses, products. Definitely weren't "politically correct" back then. But then, I would LOVE to go back in time!
Yep, me too. Things were much more colorful back then too.
