I got a HUGE collection of matchbox cars from my dad, and I'm just getting around to cataloging them. I've found several valuable ones, and I've found this one. I think the sticker on the hood was put on by my dad, but I can't be to sure. PLUS, all of the other No. 59 or 73 cars (on Ebay) are firetrucks, nothing even close to this one. ANY info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, if you need to contact me, email me at: terwonick@gmail.com

I saw your question and went to my attic as I was sure my old childhood matchboxes were up there and I knew I'd seen this before.
I can asure you, your dad did not put that sticker on it, unless he also put one on mine. I looked it up in Ramsays modelcar catalogue and it is listed as number 73c for 10 to 12 pounds in mint and boxed condition.
Hope this is of help to you
