Aside from prints, Louis Icart also did etchings. Many were hand colored by him. Often there would be a special edition book with his etchings as illustrations. The prints from these limited editions are often separated and sold individually. That was the case with this print. It is from one of the books published in the 1940's. I was just taken aback but the unbelievable subject matter. Sex on steps between two people of an era long gone by. Just floored me that someone was so affrontal in that era.
