ROSENTHAL GERMANY PORCELAIN VASE , found this today at thrift store for $5.00 , very beautiful vase , made in germany, by rosenthal, i can't make out the last signature by the aritist, this vase is numbered 22 out of 4039. there is a tiny chip on the other side no biggy cant even notice it . very well designed.

This one looks like the vase, there is also a wind-light with candleholder.
It is by the Dutch designer Johan van Loon, executed by Rosenthal in 1989. Rosenthal says of him:
Johan van Loon, a former textile designer, took to ceramics in 1958. He is regarded as one of the most important Dutch ceramic artists of the 20th century. His dialogue with the material is bold, often taking him to the limits of the feasible, either with his one-of-a-kind objects or with his radical designs for industrial productions.
Van Loon has been working for Rosenthal since 1980. For Rosenthal studio-line he created an extraordinary collection that includes his parchment-porcelain and senitively designed sculptures.
