14k gold tie bar with state seal reads united states golf association

Found at garage sale 14k gold tie bar,The medalian looks like the united states seal and reads united states america golf assocation. I have called them they do not sale this item. The man said may have been given to a golfer who had own a championship he wasnt sure.In 2009 ebay sold one just like this but they said they did not keep records that far back.I also found something that made me believe Tiffany & co or their jeweler may have designed and made this piece. But nothing in stone. I just want to know the history. Do YOU KNOW?????? Please help with knowledge. Trademark JECO
