When I found this 14k gold DOXA Chronograph Watch, I was pleasantly surprised. I believe it was manufactured in the late 1930's It still winds, ticks and keeps time although it needs a good cleaning if that's appropriate. It has a beautiful 14k gold braided band. It must be rare as there is nothing like it on the internet. I can't seem to get a value on it out here in San Francisco. Anyone have any idea?

A similar watch on a leather band was offered a couple of weeks ago at Chelsea Auctions. They asked $2200 to start, but it didn't sell.
