In the 1950's, local radio stations and The Coca-Cola Company sponsored school dances, calling it the Hi-Fi Club. The Coca-Cola Company produced a variety of premiums to hand out as prizes, such as transistor radios, record players, holders, pins, jewelry, clothing...
By 1949, there were over two million teenagers participating in the Hi-Fi club.
The first photo shows a 1950's LP record holder. The second photo is a close up of a record label. Third photo shows two pins that were handed out and last photo shows a red vest with the Hi-Fi patch and Fishtail Coca-Cola patch. I also own a Hi-Fi membership sign-up sheet.

Years ago I saw a radio in an antique store but I wasn't sure if it was authentic so passed on it. I'll bet you a dollar it was one of these radios from the 50s! Great collection Ray!

During the 1962/63 school year I was the Hi-Fi Club rep. at our school outside of Dayton, Ohio. What a blast. I still have the Dan River, white, cotton jacket with Hi-Fi Club logo. It is still in mint condition. That year I was a judge for the local Jr. Miss Pagent and was given a portable record player for having 100% sign up from my school. Once again, WHAT A GREAT TIME!!
