VERY COOL MANIKIN!!!! now play me a song!!!!
Coming right up bellin ! This guitar only played country and a tiny rock n roll . But I have recordings of songs sang to me so many yrs ago . It was my first husband who passed away and I was lucky to have taped some of them on a reel to reel forever ago and found a old reel to reel player jimmy rigged it to my cd maker and got 6 songs off it . Last one wrote and sang a week before he died .
Sorry for your Los of you husband ,very cool you have music!!!!
This is a really NEAT Gibson, We won't let the wife see this one, lol, she's into hummingbirds, and don't think she needs a Gisbon to hang on the wall. I pretty sure these demand a high price. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece and sorry about your loss.
Thanks bellin we never know what life has in store for us , but memories :-)
LOL ok kerry we will hide this from your wife :-) It was appraised at 1700.00 last yr . But who can put a price on the memories :-) It can jam to some good ole foot stomping music I tell ya !
Beautiful geetar Mani !!!!!!!

I can see why you are partial to this. I am sorry about your husband...sounds like he was a lot of fun.Was that him in the car pic with the ciggy?
yes it was hedge . It was taken before we met . I have one son with him who carries his name . I didn't show part of guitar case because his name is on it and my my son's . Trying to get packrat to get one of those houses by him for our son to move into . Can't afford anything up here .

Your so right walksoft ! Thank you , was so kind to say and I know you have lost loved ones also Bless you !!
In 2 weeks our daughter will have been gone for 3 yrs . That is hard Walksoft . It was not meant to be that way .She is our hero ! She was amazing lady and fought a very long battle .
My father passed away at the end of February after a fight with cancer, he had a good life, beat cancer twice before. He loved to dance & did so, until a few months of passing. He got to live like a seventy year old until he turned ninety, he will live on, as will your husband & daughter. So sorry for your losses.
Ok here is the guitar playing and he is singing about Arkansas , He wrote this song in 1972 in a goofy mood . Enjoy
It was taken from an old reel to reel recording I had to convert from .

Here is my Gibson Oldhippie :-)
Nice Manikin! Bet it sounds great! thank for sharing! And yah..I took a peek at some of your pic's and saw you dad with the banjo! And also the one with the big hair! Those were the days..Lots of spray, and sleep gently as to NOT muss it for the 'week'! and oh, it would get SO flat.. in summer there was NO hope! I would NOT like to go back to that!! :0)
LOL I don't think we can turn back clock or I might go back :-) Oldhippie
Do You play guitar ? Do you sing also ?
Yeah, still play some, and sing some.. mostly a kitchen picker these days.. hard to find a 'good bunch' that just want to do it for fun and leave out the competition stuff, that's when trouble begins!
Thats a GREAT looking Guitar and I bet it plays equally as well!! I love it!
Thanks Musik ! It was played everyday while he was alive and he only improved with age . It had a good quality although I like the hummingbird too :-)
