I hope your Day was Wonderful Too.
My mother was an avid collector of old postcards and oh how I love to look at them. Nice to see that you appreciate this wonderful pieces of history and art.
Oneluckygal, You are lucky to enjoy her collection, I only recently started realizing how beautiful these are, they have been packed up for so long...! I'm now sad that so many were sold at auction after my grandmother died! Silly me... Thank-you for nice comment!
These are so neat, but what is going on with cherub spraying down a naked Santa???
Or is that a spotlight on a naked Santa???
Okay. Father Time and Baby New Year. The baby driving a derrigable. Father Time, still naked, holding an American flag. A grave stone, a sickle, and a full hourglass. Nope, still confused.
AmberRose, I agree, what craziness! I think Father Time is waving his American Flag skivvies (a la 1960's hippie mode) in a rather mocking way at the baby who looks like the son of Lady GaGa.
Skivvies. I agree. Those wacky Victorians and their symbolism.
