I prefer ornaments that my kids make, or from a trip or generally something with some family history. This beautiful angel I bought in Kenya from a Masai tribeswoman. Obviously specifically for the tourists. That is way OK with me as I love it.

Manikin I totally thought of you today at the thrift as there were a ton of patterns being put out. Didn't see anything that seemed perfect though.
Thanks Scandi, Bellin and Manikin!
Thank you Amber for thinking of me and my patterns for all my girls !
I have a good friend that lives in S.Africa that comes once a yr to visit :-) Have you traveled through out Africa ? How great ! My daughters dream to go and will go someday we she can and stay with my friends there she wants to live in jungle :-)
I have been very fortunate that my parents are super travelers and they liked to take us with them. As adults, we all just kept traveling. I have literally been almost everywhere, twice! Antarctica to the Arctic and everywhere in-between. I still have some stones unturned and am just waiting for my kiddos to get a bit bigger to start it all over again. Unfortunately, there are some places that I loved that are no longer safe to visit. But hopefully other doors will open.
Manikin, is there something specific that you are looking for in patterns? Every once in a while I run into a cachet...like yesterday. I assume you are looking for the older ones, but that might not be right.
Happy Tuesday!
