Nice type 3 issued jungle tunic with "in country" embroidered insignia. Has Special Forces patch with "Airborne" & "Ranger" rocker tabs. Has combat infantry badge, Airborne jump wings, rank of Captain of Infantry, and an unknown parachute winged insignia with gold star (Scott, can you help me with that??) Tunic and pants are named to the soldier. The beret has the flash and rank of Captain. Picked this up on Ebay about 10 years ago, got it for $125.00......GREAT DEAL!!

5th Special Forces Group flash on the beret and South Vietnamese Jump wings. Sorry to jump the gun on Scott, but I've got to have some fun.
Thanks for the info Chrisnp! No wonder I couldn't figure out what those wings were, I kept searching US wings.....
One helpful clue is that foreign awards go over the right pocket (left as you look at it).
Thanks again. I was a Navy guy, so those wings really stumped me! Thanks for the help!
The really nice thing about the set is the direct embroidery badges. Instead of embroidery on cloth and then sewing onto the uniform, the insignia were sewn directly to the uniform.
Scott
Indeed Scott! This is a very nice grouping, and I am glad to have it......
