My father had given me this watch thirty years ago when I was 15. I have never worn the watch and have always kept it in it's case in a safe. I decided to take the watch out to see if it actually works and it has been keeping time. On the back of the watch case it is stamped 14k gold and a number 6262378. In trying to find some information I came across this site and was really amazed to see such a variety of beautiful watches. If there is anyone who could enlighten me as to the possible age of the watch along with any other information it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I think what you have is a 1946 Bulova Ambassador. Although it could be the President. Both watches are similar. You would have to open the case and look at the movement for a date symbol to get a manufacture date.
