This is a 1936 Western Electric Model 202 phone from the Apache Hotel at 515 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. The phone number was ALpine 4-1127 ext. 73 and later published as (602) 254-1127 (room 73?).
Original hotel was built in 1920 and was still listed in hotel directories as late as 1968. The hotel was reported to have 100 rooms and cost $1,200,000 to build and had a Cocktail Lounge, Barber Shop, Sun Deck, 24-hour Switchboard and Parking.
I love when an old phone can be placed at a certain time and place.
