This is a 1939 New York Worlds Fair Saturn Lamp. I have had this and a few others for about 30 years, just thought they were cool. While researching a art deco clock, I came across info on this. I am amazed how much art deco design that was generated out of the Worlds Fairs.
Caution: these lamps are being reproduced, but are not cheap. Here is a fun link if you are interested.

I love these lamps! I recently purchased an original one that needs some TLC. Any advice on cleaning or restoring? It has the original wiring - what is the max watt bulb you use in these? I am also trying to find out how I can restore/repaint the blue color inside as a lot of areas have flaked off. I would hate to ruin it! Sorry for all of the questions. Happy New Year to all!

Try these bulbs, very low wattage, no heat and remote for color change or just one color, easy to work. I ordered 6 of them !! And I love them!
