Picked this up about 20 years ago. Cant locate any markings to determine maker or year. Hanging in my garage since. Its heavy, face is great , six drilled holes around top edges some wear and scratches.(picture) Back has some rust color. but rest never took hold. Measures 36 inches across.
Looking for a little history of this sign. Year, maker and how they were hung. Set to the face of a building or back to back on a free standing pole?
look forward to some incite.
thanks for your time.

These buttons date from the fifties, some are still in use to this day on the "marquee signs" on variety stores, hung by a galvanized bracket attatched to the back of sign, fixed to a walll or other, larger sign. This is the perfect size for toboggans, which many were used for after being removed from use, yours looked like it might have suffered this fate. At least it was'nt used for target practise,as many were. It has been" touched up" a fair bit,& the trademark symbol and makers mark/date is missing.Still displays nice though!
