This is a 21 jewel Waltham Crescent Street pocket watch from 1906. It's a 16 size lever set movement adjusted to 5 positions. It has bold spade hands and nice bright bold arabic numbers for hour markers... In short, it's a Rail Road approved pocket watch! It could have been carried by a proud porter or maybe even an energetic engineer. It runs great and keeps...nearly... railroad time. Thanks for looking!

I have a question for you toolate. In your opinion, which grade is better in the Waltham, the Cresent or the Riverside ? I found older sales sheets and the Riverside movements sold higher, for basically the same watch (19 and 21 jewel). Would this mean that Waltham spent more time on the Riverside?

Very nice toolate2! I see what you mean, this was a professional grade timepiece carried by someone whose career could have depended upon it.

I have a pocket watch that was owned by a chauffeur that was given to me by his granddaughter. He drove some of the rich and famous around Newport, RI. Watches are a whole different, incredible world aren't they?

      Thanks for sharing this!
