We bought this sign in the crate. It was never used. We installed it in a garage for a friend. It's a great piece for a hot rod garage.

You should have hung the sign in the crate on the wall and plugged it in. Oh well, a little too late for that idea. Some value was lost by doing what you done. Nice find.
