Three photos of the same vase. Different light.
Interesting story (I'll keep it breif) : years ago I found this vase at a small auction. I knew what it was but when it came up to sell the auctioneer announced " This is a newer contemporary art glass vase. It is dated 1970 on the bottom".
Of course the 1970 is the Durand shape number.
10 inches high.

Beautiful piece and great story! Usually, at least 10 other people at the auction also know it isn't contemporary glass and your hopes of a great snag are gone in a flash! Sounds like you were the only one there who knew! Lucky you! Congratulations!
Loetz Dance : you are right. And the thing that really gets me is the vase is signed V Durand besides the shape number !!! And he still didn't know.
