    Bronze Vintage Gray Hound with Birds by Pierre Jules (P.J.) Mene
    He is considered the pioneer of animal sculpture in the nineteenth-century.

    (11cm x 17cm

    We just bought this bronze today at an antique auction in Ashland, OH
    to add to our growing collection of bronzes.

      It's greyhound, Mene used the breed for a lot of his sculptures. Nice piece, especially if it's original.

      Thanks, We did alot of reseach for the last auction. This was reseached on askart.com, found two prior sales and this is the correct size and marking of those. I hope we got the right one, tho we didn't pay alot for this. Seems we were the only bronze buy that day.
