I have been collecting the Wallace Christmas Sleigh Bells (Silver Plate) since 1978 when my first son was born. I began a second set in 1983 for my second son. Of course, neither of them is interested in having them (yet), so I have enjoyed having the ornaments on my Christmas tree.
I have been trying to match the boxes to the earlier ornaments, which I had stored in a silver cloth bag. It seems that the bells offered at auction "with box" do not necessarily have the original box for that particular year. Can anyone tell me the patterns on the original boxes for 1978, 1980, 1981, 1982 or 1983?
