SalvagedMe…
(20 items)
Old manicure/grooming set from the 20's/30's? Tag says "Schnefel Bros, Newark NJ." Gray/green leather roll up case with gold satin/silk/taffeta? lining, pleated sides, and slots for tools. The ribbon securing the tools ties at one end to loosen or tighten them snugly. Snaps closed. Nine tools in the set when purchased at an antique mall, complete set? Tool handles are either bakelite or celluloid (not sure how to tell the difference) in a green marble design. Have searched for info on the company but not found much. If anyone can enlighten me on the history of this type of item, I would be grateful!
