This c. 1880 cabinet card is out of Stoughton, Wisconsin and features a duck hunter in prop boat.
He holds a double barrel shotgun, while his dog looks over the front of the boat. Near the back are two dead ducks.
Additionally, the photographer has embellished the scene with a couple of ducks that have been "drawn into" the negative (see photograph #3).

Those look like ghost ducks! At least this guy doesn't have his finger on the trigger.
He is a careful hunter.
I agree the drawn ducks do almost look like ghost ducks-- I would think the hunter would have been happier with them left out!
