While returning from the beach, about 1980, through Topanga Canyon
I came across a garage sale. Topanga Canyon was and still is a haven for artists and free spirited folk, so I hoped to find something interesting.
I spotted the phone....I'm ex Navy.... break out the cash.
Actually I did haggle and got a fair deal. Was told it came from a tramp
steamer. Nice story but doubtful, looks more military to me but I really
have no knowledge of it's history.
It's a great conversation piece and is wired and works as a standard dial phone.
