    Hi,

We bought this at an auction over 30 years ago and we are getting ready to move and trying to decide weather to give it to kids or sell it. Only marking we can find is on the lock "patented April 15 1879. Overall good condition with some obvious wear and fixes. Solid and heavy.

In our area, a trunk like this, in this condition would sell for around $100.00. If the kids have interest in it, I'd give it to them.

It is a camel hump trunk, two sizes large and small. The small are most liked and in value.

In the apparent condition, you can buy these all day for $50-$60 for refinishing. Once refinished, it's obviously worth more.
