Vintage telephone cabinet. Not as fancy as my other one; but still very nice shape. It has a door for phone and the old style directory. (6" x 9.5")slot. Below it has a flip down door for other books or papers. Not sure of age?

Kurt, I like the nice clean likes of your telephone cabinet, It's a keeper.
Great piece!
When I read vintage-black-telephone-cabinet, I was hoping it was similiar to mine; however, mine is a stand alone actual cabinet. Top has curved edging to hold phone in place, then a space with door for phone books and bottom is an open area for more books or whatever. Can you supply a picture of your other cabinet mentioned?
Hello austinpr1, if you look at the photo of me you will see it in the background. It is brown. It has glass in top front as well as in the door. Door has some fabric in it as well. The drawer pulls out and top part where phone goes it has a light with pull chain. I will post some photo.
Thank you, Kurt
