the European Theater WWII ribbon with the metal stars on it also has an arrow head, meaning that who ever wore that ribbon was involved in a "spear-head" attack, meaning "first boots on the ground"...perhaps with the 1st Division in Africa, or a division in the D-Day landings....somone with that many battle stars and an arrow head saw a LOT of combat.....
