    (310 items)

I had these items stuck away in a box in my storage building and thought I would get them out to share. Hope you enjoy them. Getting into my storage building can be real scary.
The V.M.I. items date from the 1930's.

the European Theater WWII ribbon with the metal stars on it also has an arrow head, meaning that who ever wore that ribbon was involved in a "spear-head" attack, meaning "first boots on the ground"...perhaps with the 1st Division in Africa, or a division in the D-Day landings....somone with that many battle stars and an arrow head saw a LOT of combat.....

tlmbaran, I was just thinking the same thing! If those ribbon bars could talk! I love the bullion 1LT bars too.

      Very neat collection!

Thank you tlmbaran for all the great info! You are correct, I believe it is for a D-Day landing.
