Have this old wood fired cook stove that my great grandparents used in their kitchen for many years. It's called a Mother's Range made by the Laurelton Foundry Co. in Laurelton PA. I have been searching the internet and have not been able to find anything about it. Has anyone else ever seen or heard of one.

Unfortunately the only way to get info on wood stoves is to pay for it, look up Stove Appraisals on Google there are a number of reputable companies, I just used the services of one of them
Hey, search Old Ad Prints too, alot of times you get the year made, co's that handled them and the prices that they sold for! Great Stove! I hope you are planning on using it! It will make some great homemade bread!

My maternal Grandmother cooked on a wood stove on the farm, as kids our treat was home made bread & real butter & strawberry jam. When she moved to town she burnt more food trying to figure out how to cook with an electric oven.
Oh so right walksoft. My Grandmother made the best bread but would only use the wood stove so she had 2 . She hated the electric one .And her homemade strawberry jam on warm bread yum . Ok I am hungry now :-)
Years ago in St. Eustatius (Statia) we made bread & other things in stone ovens. The taste was unbelievable! It wasn't that the old oven added some flavour so much as there was a lack of some flavour that steel stoves added. Loaves sold locally for 1 guilder (67c U.S.) in the 80's. Miss those days & tastes!
