Prior Chemical Joke Book- "COMICALS"
I know nothing about Prior Chemicals or why they would publish this booklet...Were chemical/comicals funnier back in 1944? There is NOTHING funny in this book! I kept reading & flipping thru, and nothing struck me as humorous...and what does this have to o with chemicals? No chemical humor here!
So many missed opportunities- I'm kind of mad that this was so lacking in funniness! I mean, CHEMICALS & HUMOR....Really! The possibillities could be endless.....

I love this book, its a very great play to get the mind off chemicals and put the blame on meaningless things which people complain about just as much !
The few jokes you show are funny to me.. but they are also humor of bygone days. That was during the War, I'm sure their sense of humor was much more subtle & dry than ours! Times were tough! I don't think their intention was to have chemical humor... I mean, it would be nearly impossible to fill a whole booklet full of jokes about chemicals! These were probably newspaper or magazine-type comics, and they were just about daily life.
