You may not remember falling out:-)
Could that account for my loss of memory walksoft :-) lol
I fell out of a top bunk bed once when I was little, I don't remember falling, but I do remember coming to & throwing up. Recently I asked my Mother why she didn't take me to the hosp. her reply was "I guess I didn't know I was supposed to". As you say Mani another example of "How did we live".
Walksoft I fell 3 stories out of farm house at age 10. I so remember the fall seemed like I was falling for a long time . I was afraid I would land by the old geese that nested near there and they were mean . I was like floating for what seemed a long time and then I Hit !!!!!! I was knocked out but could hear and I heard my G-pa say is she dead . I wanted to say yes but no words could come . They carried me into house and laid me on a bed and I was spinning like a top I could not talk and I laid like that for hrs till my Grand-ma came home and she gave all the people in the house the what for why was I not at hospital . They said the Dr told them if my eyes rolled back then bring me in !!! I was unconscious for peeps sake . I was taken to hospital then and admitted . head injury and broke shoulder . I never grew again I am same size as a 10 yr old 4'11 "
Oh I fell out window when a uncle threw a pillow at me and it pushed me back to window that the screen gave way on . I landed on the driveway :-(
You are one Tough Girl Manikin! Its A wonder You didnt Join The Circus or something. Lol!
Well I'm glad you survived, CW wouldn't be the same without you.
LOL Junkman I think I lived at a circus on farm but then I am afraid of heights so I guess they wouldn't have taken me :-) I am an RN instead
Thank you walksoft I am glad you lived through your fall too as CW would not be the same without you !
Thanks Mani, that fall was the first of many accidents, I had a chair at the E R with my name on it. One time after a fall I came to figured out where I was then proceeded to walk to my Grandmothers house for help during a blizzard, I spent the night in Hosp. with concussion & whiplash.
Is that how you got name walksoft ? Your more careful now ? gee I had a Chair in ER also but I worked there and got very little sit down time . It was a very busy place and I loved my job I was also a para medic on days off and on night shift . I ususally got called out when it was a baby coming or a heart patient to go on call but saw to many accident scenes that I don't like to remember . I did not fair well on my last run to an accident . I will omit that so I don't get flashbacks . When I had my 1st child and she had a siezure I went to school to be a RN ASAP that scared a 18 yr girl I had no clue what it was . I spent 7 yrs in college with 2 kids as a single Mom . So when I hear all the excuses kids have today I have little sympathy get a job or go to school even if you have kids . My Husband died .
People have too many excuses, I worked full time & farmed, it didn't leave much time for the kids, but they had a roof over their heads. I tell my kids work smart not hard, the long days took there toll on me.
BTW I'm still testing gravity:)
LOL I guess am too walksoft as I get dizzy a lot . My Grandma always said it was from the big fall . But I am no gazelle anymore :-)
I agree we couldn't be with kids as much but work ethic seems to have fallen by the wayside with all these young generation . Of coarse there are exceptions and I say hurrah for you that know money doesn't fall out of the sky .I always felt good physically and mentally after a hards day work :-)
Thank you Lisa !

Thank you thriftygypsy !
now a days, a passer by would have called the police and reported this as "child endangerment"..... Ahhh...the good ol' days!
That's for sure tlmbaran ! I guess back in the day they didn't think we might get hurt . I was pretty surprised myself to see this one :-)
Thanks for stopping ! :-)
Hi Mani,
Cute as a button!
Thank you Kathy :-) PhilDavid enhanced it for me , looks better after he fixed it . I am amused that My Mom was taking a photo of me standing in a shaky buggy and not concerned I could tip it over . The good ole days . One wonders how did we all live with all the warnings on every kids toy. bed , ect we survived all those those dangers :-)
It was just us tough ones that survived:-)
I guess I have to agree walksoft as I sure had my near mishaps growing up at the farm but I did survive :-) I fell out a 3 story window at 9 or 10 . I was sure I was dead . The screen just fell out when I turned over in bed and out the window I went . I know I can remember I feared landing by the ole gray goose and her nest below that window she was a mean bird . next thing I remember is my Grandpa saying is she dead and in my mind I said yes but could not talk and was not awake but aware of the talking . That has taught me to stay away from windows ! I came to the next day in hospital .
Thank you musik and collecter4 ! :-)
