I am a a sworn vegetarian to this day , as soon as I had to clean the chickens it was all over . Who could ever eat one again ! I wonder if they still sell that size work coveralls :-) Started work at early age on farm and fashion was not a choice it was coveralls for all ! Love the life of a farmer and glad I had that chance .

We were poor too, but when my father sold the farm he came into an awful lot of money. I miss the farm, but I had bad allergies that made it difficult with all the chaff from harvest and grinding feed and the day to day. Good that you had that experience.
My Uncle stole the family farm Phildavid . He had it signed over to him when my grandma had a brain cancer tried to fight it but he got it all . Of coarse we don't speak to this day . My Canada family own a lot of land there but as you said conquest and ardath are ghost towns so wonder when they sell if it will be worth anything .
They might be ghost towns Mani, but the farm land is very valuable. BTW I still like chicken & beef yummm.

Yes that land is still farmed some of it is Ranch land, some grain land , I found you a nice place for 265k with a wood stove, a barbers chair, 80 acres, & a barn. :)

Where is it walksoft ? I wonder when and if they will ever sell the ranch /farm in Conquest or the houses in Ardath . I think they will just keep passing them down through family . Yes they owned 2 houses in Ardath a place with just a gas station I guess ? My Cousin lives in one of them . We do keep in contact but he has no PC so it has to be by phone :-) Just 257K well I think I have that in cash LOL I am thinkin maybe I could buy one by packrat the one with red tin roof seems nice :-)

Nice thing about Sask. only thing you need to worry about when pickin is mice, none of them nasty things like Texas.
Thats a nice house compared to one of my Aunts houses in Conquest , I don't have a photo after the cabin but have one built on that land next to it . IF you call it a house Walksoft . I will post it .

Manikin, what can I say ??? What a beautiful child, with those overalls, and eating fried chicken no less !!!! How could anyone give up fried chicken !?!
