I'm not sure if this is an original or not, but it caught my eye and thus ended up in the collection. It was wired for 12 volt lights, but I put a florescent bulb under it for display. The base is perfectly flat so it might have been on a checker cab?

I actually drove a Checker Marathon taxi cab for an entire summer in collage, back in the 1960's. It was awful.
