The Eagle was introduce in 1980 and was the first 4 wheel drive passenger car made in the US. then in 1981 they made the first sports model, The SX4. Here I have a first run SX4, one owner, with 60,000 original miles. Thanks for looking.

The SX/4 was built from the AMC Spirit. I had a Spirit for years, and it was a great car. I worked as a technician for AMC for a few years during the time they were selling these. In many ways AMC was on the cutting edge, but they always seemed to miss the mark. The Jeep line helped them build great 4WD drive trains.
Thank you dlfd911 for the comments and the love. I couldn't agree more on the "Cutting Edge". I've owned several AMC automoblies and loved every one. My favorite was a 1969 AMX, slick lines and stupid fast for an 18 year old kid. LOL.
