Bird with pomegranite, on unbleached silk, framed and matted, 20’ x 20”.
Signed with 2 kanji and seal. First kanji appears to be ‘rely or depend on’,
The second, ‘virtue or benevolence’, perhaps intended: ‘Rely on virtue’ as a proverb. Red seal is likely the artist. I looked at a lot of birds, couldn’t find this one, hoping someone will recognize it. Also appreciate suggestions regarding my interpretation of the kanji. Too much to hope that someone would recognize the artist.
