I always loved marble statues and collected them for a time. This one was my largest and was obtained through Christies in NYC. Could have bought a very expensive car for what I paid. It is by Enrico Astorrio and was made in about 1885 when he had his studio in Milan.
I still have it, staying in the spot where a pillar is. It is not something sold easily as it weighs a ton. The lamp is one of 4 large made for a hotel chain in Canada, only those 4 were made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The lamps were previously in The Hotel Saskatchewan, in Regina, which had changed owners when I got them.
In the first photo also is my table by Bernard Molitor which is in the lower right of the photo. It was owned by Dupont, a minister of Napolean's court and was obtained from Sotheby's in NYC.
The table is cataloged on the book on Molitor, ebeniste.
