I always loved marble statues and collected them for a time. This one was my largest and was obtained through Christies in NYC. Could have bought a very expensive car for what I paid. It is by Enrico Astorrio and was made in about 1885 when he had his studio in Milan.
I still have it, staying in the spot where a pillar is. It is not something sold easily as it weighs a ton. The lamp is one of 4 large made for a hotel chain in Canada, only those 4 were made by Tiffany Studios, New York.
In the first photo also is my table by Bernard Molitor which is in the lower right of the photo. It was owned by Dupont, a minister of Napolean's court and was obtained from Sotheby's in NYC.
The table is cataloged on the book on Molitor, ebeniste.

Thank you so much, I remember my friends coming about the time I painted the walls like an Egyptian tomb, Aswan granite, and they laughed, I thought they were having a heart attack, saying I had too much time on my hands, as I had taken apart 50 Egyptian bracelets to put up the little gilt decorations underneath the border near the ceiling. That was a great fun project, just getting all those bracelets from a wholesaler was a lot of interesting fun and going to the trade show too !~
awe-struck!
