Caterpillar - Bucyrus merger
Commemorative Coin
Bucyrus had a steam-shovel contract over 100 years ago at the Panama canal. A few years ago, Bucyrus bought Terex, a company that makes "High Wall Coal Mining Machines" in West Virginia. Then Caterpillar bought out Bucyrus. This coin was a gift. As far as I know, circulation was limited to the 12,000 or so former Bucyrus employees who are now part of the 130,000+ members on the CAT team.
Very probable that this is a one ounce pure silver coin.
