I purchased this 10 years ago in Minnesota and the woman at the antique store told me this was a changing bell. You put the ring on a finger and shake it to keep the baby still while you changed the diaper. I was curious if anyone had ever seen anything like this before. I bought it because it was very unique. The ring is seamless and the bell has two faces, one on each side. It is believed to be sterling silver although there are no markings on it. The bell is a muted sound but it is a bell. I need help from anyone who can give it to me. I want to know if this is what it was I was told or if it is something entirely different. I didn't know how to research it. Thanks for any help any of you can give me.
