i dont know if is jewelry,, or spiritial use,, or showing value in a culture,, is on a silver chain,, ball of beeswax or amber,, is decorative,, wondering for what purpose and what country,, i THINK THAT IT HAS A SILVER CHAIN AND IS FROM THE 1930S OR 40S,, THE BALL OF WAX? HARD IS ABOUT 2 BY 3 INCHES,, THE CHAIN IS OLD,, I WAS GUESSING TIBET OR INDIA AREA AND PERHAPS USED IN CHURCH OR TO PROTECT THE WEARER. I HAVENT SEEN ANOTHER ON EBAY OR OTHER AUCTION SITES SO I KNOW THAT NOT MANY WERE MADE. CAN YOU HELP ME IDENTIFY THIS OBJECT AND ITS USES,, IF YOU WERE WEARING IT IT WOULD BE AROUND 36 INCH LONG.

You have an amber bead encased in filigree. I can't tell from the photo if the amber is natural or synthetic, Tibet or another Asian country sounds right for origin.
