This beautiful hand blown Japanese Saki bottle was Found in a Japanese Samurai Castle ruins ; after the end of the Edo Period 1600 -1868 & the fall of the Shogun, most samurai castles became derelict and the majority were used as garbage dumps etc.
Every now & then particularly after natural events such as Typhoon heavy Rain & Earthquakes we stumble across items that are pushed up from the depths of the earth, or have become exposed due to Landslides.
Its all about being in the right place at the right time I suppose :)
Saki Bottle stands 75mm High ; these are very rare finds in Japan these days, as old Glass from the Meiji period 1868-1912 was mostly Recycled.

I am advised the Saki bottle dates to 1875 ; anyone with more knowledge that wishes to share please comment.
