This is a vintage aircraft carrier. I don't know much about it. It's got a string attached, which at first, made me believe it was an ornament, but I doubt it is. I took photos for detail. Help! Thanks!

When I was a kid we used to get those in boxes of cereal. I think the string was probably added so you could get it back when using it in a lake or river.
fhrjr2 you are correct, I remember getting those in cereal also. We also used to get plastic dinosaurs in cereal, back in the 1950's
Awesome! Now... do you remember which cereal? :)
Yes and No. I am not positive but I seem to think Kellogg's corn flakes or rice krispies. The reason I say that is I still have some Kellogg's stuff from cereal that is unopened. As for a time period, it would have been after 1954. The reason I say that is my sister was born in 54 and I was collecting them after that. There were different prizes in different boxes.
You still have unopened prizes from the 1950's? That is great.
I think you are correct! I seem to remember Rice Krispies also.
I was born in 1948, so that would be about right.
I popped into the world in 48 also. Must have been a good year :)
