We just discovered this set in my Mother-in-law's belongings. My wife suspects it belonged to her Grandfather who died around 1980. We have no intention of ever selling but would like to know as much information as possible about the set to include age, model, and value.
The pencil still has the original sticker on it that says, "Silver Imp. Pencil $20.00"

It looks like the - Sheaffer Imperial Sterling TD Fountain Pen, M nib, 1970 ($150) - that I saw on E-Bay. It differs in one respect, namely - the base (the end-part of the pen that points up when you write). There could be two very similar pens from Scheaffer that look very much alike - one from 1970 and another - perhaps earlier model upon which the later one is based.
