I can't identify this French Art Nouveau perfume bottle, circa 1910. It is very similar to Rene Lalique's "Ambre Antique" in form and decoration. Bottle has four embossed classical maidens in different poses and patinations (blue, ochre, red, green). Stopper is a long, attenuated glass dauber with cork girdle. Head of stopper is a domed-disc-shape with quatrefoil in bas-relief. Bottle badly cracked!, possibly from a misguided attempt to remove a frozen stopper. Original label is all but illegible, but font style is clearly Art Nouveau, and the language is French. Tried to match the marks on label with identified contemporary French purveyors of scent, but not with firm success. My best guess is 'La Parfumerie de la Société Hygiénique'. Bottle measures 11 cm tall, 3.1 cm across base. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Thank you kindly, ozmarty for your suggestion! I used this wonderful guide from Cleopatra's_Boudoir perhaps a year ago, without finding a match for this species of bottle. Yesterday, I was again unsuccessful. Will keep trying, but may I ask, did you mean to indicate that my perfume bottle was one of those Cleopatra listed?, or were you providing information on the firm itself? There are precious few instances of this firm's perfume bottles on the internet. Many thanks!

I presume that your bottle was one listed .If you could find the name of the scent then match it to one on the list.
Another avenue would be to ask the International Perfume Bottle Assoc.

Looking for information about a different bottle done in the style of Lalique, I found a bottle that I believe is almost identical to yours and it was credited to an American Company: Societe Francaise. I know nothing about this, so please take it with a grain of salt.

Splendid! I'll get right on it. Thank you much, brmac!!! If you happen to remember a link or source - and have a moment to spare - it would be wonderful to hear of it. Oh, goodie.

Kudos to brmac, I think it would be safe to affirm that my bottle was most probably produced for the American firm Societe Francaise circa 1920's. A Google search of 'Societe Francaise' took me to the most worthy "Cleopatra's Boudoir", where I found the base of my bottle listed under American 'Societe Francaise'. Her sample is sans patina, but it is the same bottle base. Her stopper is a figural twisted flame, whereas mine is a domed-disc with a quatrefoil in bas-relief. Cleopatra mentions that the stopper on her sample was likely cork-tipped, and my dauber does have a cork girdle. Cleopatra opined that this bottle was "clearly inspired" by [Lalique's] Ambre Antique for Coty and was "very similar to it". Splendid! My hearty thanks to you, brmac!!! With the French language label, I would never have looked for this among American companies. Kind regards and thanks to all who generously assisted me!, miKKo
