(236 items)
I had this receipt in a box of items and thought I would share it.
It is for items purchased by the U. S. Army from W. Gregory & Sons. It is hard to read the handwriting, but here is what I think it says. "4 pieces of tube, drilling & fittings 4 pieces for night wires. Making 8 double brackets. 40 M.T. (?) 54 nuts. If you have any other ideas, please share them with me.
As you can see, this was in England and dated about three weeks before D-Day.

Interesting item!
It is ashame the purchaser didn't include a unit designation.

scottvez,
Thank you very much! Yes, that would have made it very interesting.
I wonder if no unit designation was an operational security requirement at the time.
Could be Chris.
