This table was given to me by an friend of mine who passed away last year. She was 92 years old. She told me it was given to her my her mother. I cannot find anything about this table, i.e., what period, type, etc.. It does have some little fire damage which I plan to have repaired to go with the rest of my home decorations. There are no markings to help me identify it and I cannot locate pictures of this table. I looked under the top portion of the table and I see that screws were screwed in from the bottom top probably to hold the top portion of the table in place. I hoping someone can help with identifying this table.

I believe it is an Empire table.

It looks like American Empire-- probably about 1840.

The veneer looks beautiful on it.

My thanks to all who enlightened me on my table. I fell in love with it the day it was given to me and have now incorporated it with my existing furnishings. It looks great!

      Thanks.
